


This Salix sp. was girdled by a beaver but it seems it forgot a tiny strip of bark. The tree seems to be regenerating the bark from that strip and has a fair share of healthy leaves.
Do you think it has any chance of survival or is it just a matter of time? It’s interesting either way I’m just curious about your opinions.

Like theoretically yeah but there’s a good chance it will topple too, particularly once the rot sets in on that heartwood
It’s just a matter of time. this tree won’t be able to heal before rot sets in.
Has the beaver been handled?
Do willows sprout from the roots the way mimosas do?
and they say the hourglass figure is an unrealistic beauty standard
