i bought some lithops online. i’ve never had them before, so i’m not really sure what to expect. do these look like they would grow? i feel like the roots are pretty small but im not sure. tia:)

  1. Lithops are usually shipped with trimmed roots like that. They grow new roots readily. Just pot them in your favorite, well-draining mix and water judiciously.

    No to water therapy. Plant them in 90% grit, dry, then sprinkle water around them a week later, to help the roots wake up, then give them a good soak a week after that. They’re perfectly fine.

  3. They look decent; tap root intact, plump but not overwatered, colour looks fine. They don’t have a lot of fine roots, true, but those should grow no problem so long as they have enough light and a decent soil medium (20% cactus soil 80% inorganics).

    They look great! Get them potted up in the correct soil mix and give plenty of light they should do great😊

    Looks like the ones I bought on Amazon. Mine are still alive and the two that died were watered
