This plant has been a little unruly since I got it. It started as two 2” planters with 2-3 leaves each. They started growing and I combined them into one pot, shown here. As of this photo, the soil is not wet but definitely not bone dry, not pulling away from the sides or anything like that. I’m struggling to figure out what it needs for water. Even without the yellow leaves, the thing just looks… gangly. I’m getting ready to trim these yellow leaves but any help is appreciated.

It sits in my kitchen which gets very bright indirect sunlight all day. In the evening it gets some direct sunlight just before sunset but not much. I water it with miracle grow liquid indoor plant food, per the instructions on the bottle. I water it when the top of the soil feels dry but not bone dry, and I water until I see water coming out of the bottom, then let it drain completely before putting it back in its dish. It’s planted in miracle grow indoor tropical plant soil.

Are you using de-chlorinated or filtered water? These do not like tap water. They also like to be evenly moist. Sounds like you may be letting it get too dry.

I don’t see any reason to be concerned here. That’s a healthy looking lemon lime.

They are creeping plants, so they can get lopsided. The solution there is to take cuttings to prop and reintroduce to the mother plant once rooted.

Those yellow leaves are not a cause for concern. The plant is reabsorbing the older leaves that have reached their end of their lifecycle.

I think it looks pretty good except for the yellow leaf. Mine is going strong and she gets severely neglected and sometimes watered every 3 weeks. They can be stronger than you think
