Thanks for the kind words and support 😁🐕❤

  2. James – you're the best. Brown marmorated stink bugs are a big problem for me – they suck the juice out of tomatoes and basically make the fruit dry and tough wherever they feed. Does anyone have any good organic practices that are effective for them?

  3. Last year I was trying to get rid of squirrels, and was using a variety of natural repellents. Garlic, cinnamon, mint oil, oregano oil, and many others to numerous to mention. Some were used right out of my cupboard, and the others came commercially mixed in sprayers. The interesting part is that while they were mostly effective on the squirrels, they were very effective on insects. There were none. They didn't like the smells any more than the squirrels. The birds left, too. And the lizards that ate the insects. Everyone left.

Back in the day, Organic Gardening magazine (before they became commercial) recommended making homemade sprays from plants that did not have insect problems. This could be evergreens, hot pepper plants, succulents, or numerous others. Making sprays from blended and strained plants, combined with dish detergent or even hand soap was effective. One year I did a recipe with Ivory soap and garlic. Let me warn you. You may not have bugs, but the smell will make you wish you hadn't done that. I can totally see why bugs don't like it. Combinations work better than single ingredients. For killing, diluted hydrogen peroxide is reputed to be the bomb, and plants love it. I use it to keep ants from getting into the bottom of my planters. Very effective, but use strong dilution.

  4. Awesome video James! I love the idea of growing Amaranth as a trap crop for attracting cucumber beetles, then hitting it with pyrethrin. Thanks for a very informative video!

  5. I look forward to new videos. I can't say that about many. I learn something new from you every video. I have a questio pertaining to Diatomaceous Earth, how thick should you apply it? Can it be sifted on ? Thank you and your channel.

  6. James, Thank you for the amazing educational videos.
You are my favorite YouTube channel for gardening, I look forward to your videos, and love your positive vibes ❤

  7. Should have mentioned Spinosad/ Deadbug brew. One of the other more powerful organic ones ( can be toxic to aquatic life in high quanitities, first 3 hours can harm bees so have to spray late evening if flowers are nearby) Another great video, learned a few things!

  8. If ur nutrition is on point, ur plants doing photosynthesis with maximam potential if ur plants making amino acid properly than no pest attack on plants and no need of any pesticide or fungicide
