Hi! Me and my boyfriend made this vivarium approximately three weeks ago for our crested gecko Moria.
Some information that may be relevant:
we use isopods and sping tails, they are active, removed some mold.
we’re misting the terrarium every 3 hours for 30 sec
the temperature is between 28-30 celsius
the humidity is about 85
Question:
we are unsure if the plants on the bottom are thriving, we see some dry leaves (on the 7th picture). We’re also unsure if the big plant is thriving since its leaves are hanging low.. we think? The plants have been the hardest thing from this process to navigate :,) we also have some backround plants that obviously died, dont pay attention to those we assume its because the flower pot space is too small.
So main question is:
How to make the plants thrive? And how to know if its appropriate to move the gecko in?

Water them independently with reptile-safe water at least once per week. Make sure it is a deep watering.
I have a similar set up for our chahoua and the plants at the bottom were not getting enough water–we also have a drain so I can tell if it is too much as the overflow tubing starts showing some but I’ve been able to dump half a liter in and still not see any in the overflow.
Thank you we will try that 😀
Personally I would add more hides for the gecko(Cork barks) at different levels. Especially when the terrarium is this hot. They do not really like it to be above 25 celsius.
Also, the barks should be horizontal so the gecko can be in a horizontal position as well. Its not good for them if they stay vertically. I would put 3 of them at 3 different levels of the terrarium so they can choose their temperature.
