How to create a hydrangeanger hedge. This hedge is four years in the making and with my dream of having a hydrangeanger line driveway, I knew this project couldn’t wait another summer. While it’s recommended to plant your hydrangeas 4 ft apart, I put ours about 3 ft apart for a tighter hedge line. For this hedge, I ordered 3gallon Annabels from Garden Goods Direct. They have the highest quality plants that are delivered right to your doorstep. When planting, you want to dig as deep as the root ball and make sure when you remove your plants, you really massage those roots. I also mix in garden food whenever I’m planting so it can really get absorbed into the roots. Just make sure whatever plant food you have is the correct pH level for the hydrangeanger plants that you are planting because that can change the color of your blooms. The first season you plant these is most crucial. You have to keep them hydrated and water them as much as possible, but I promise you they will go from this to this in only a few short years. I can’t wait to see how this turns
