Found this plant holding copious amounts of what I believe are lantern flies in NE Ohio. Can someone help me?

That’s a tree of heaven. Highly invasive weed that can get the size of a tree. No joke.

Looks like you hit the invasive species jackpot, there.

Tree of heaven with lots of spotted lanternfly nymphs. Both invasive and should be killed

Could be smooth sumac be smooth sumac that’s what we have or call it. Spreads also does kill easily with a good dousing of lv4 or lv6 herbicide.

After reading the comments, im happy to report i weed wacked bother the plant and nymphs to oblivion prior to posting

  7. It’s still young—you can carefully dig it all out. This is a tree that once established is very hard to kill, sends out new shoots after a cut.

  8. Tree of heaven suckers new growth from the roots. You should try and remove it entirely.

  9. Around my property black walnuts are everywhere. There are so many, you would almost think they are invasive if you could see how many saplings are growing here. I’ve found two tree of heavens strategically placed, pretending to be black walnuts. I don’t know where they came from. This is the first I’ve seen these in 10 years living here.

Tree of Heaven & Spotted Lantern Fly nymphs. Both species are causing an invasion meltdown: when two invasive species thrive off of each other and decimate an ecosystem/habitat. Kill it with fire.
