So I’m moving to another city soon and I really want to take my monstera with me. I love how big it has grown over the year I’ve had it and I don’t want to chop and prop it. The city I’m moving in is only 100km (60 miles) away and we will rent a minibus to move everything.
I know there has to be a way to safely move a big plant. Luckily all of my other plants are either small or medium sized, so the monstera is the only problematic one 😀 Has anyone any experience moving a big plant?

Cover earth with newspaper, put a plastik Bag around the Pot and tape around the stem, then tape over the Bag, Papers and pot so nothing can fall out the pot. Make it tight around the Rim especially.
Get a Big enough but still tight Box. But a layer of absorbing material like bubblewrap, newspaper or similar and place the Monstera in (it absorbs some of the roadbumps), make 2 holes on half the hight of the pot rim, in the middle, so u can secure the pot from the inside to the ouside.
Do the same at the top and tie the stake also to the box.
Then fill out the space with newspaper or any stuff that is soft but good for filling the space. If everything is neatly stuffed out, close the box and secure it somehow in the car so it cant fall over. Thats how i usually transport bigger plants.
