Where I used to live the backyard was almost entirely enclosed in evergreens and there were all sorts of plants and flowers. Summer was a delight as I saw lightning bugs in person for the first time. (Grew up where they weren’t common)

I have a ton in my yard, and people are seeing a lot in Ottawa. The message to leave leaves has really gotten out, and there are almost no turf grass lawns in my part of the city. It’s pretty great.
