Can the water from the drainage layer be used for anything? I always dump it because I assume stagnant water isn’t great to give to my house plants. Thoughts?

Might as well try it out on a sacrificial pothos or something.
I would imagine it would have a higher mineral content, tannins and possibly some ferts if you have any animals in there. Probably wouldn’t hurt 🤷‍♀️

If the plants are healthy, you can reuse the water. It can be beneficial as it will contain nutrients, however you will want to dilute it with fresh water and limit the number of cycles.

Water your plants with it they’ll be fine and might even do better 🤷‍♂️

  4. I’m not giving you any advice until you stop holding your gallon so precariously! That shit’s unhinged lmao

Have you any way to test the water? Unless it’s got a really out there pH, it’s probably full of hard minerals, which most plants should love. If you can’t test and are curious, a big box pet store does free water testing. I only water my plants with really dirty aquarium water and they’ve all told me they love it and don’t want to go back to tap water.

    Good luck!
