Have had this plant for a while, my husband has brought it back to life after I almost killed it a few times.
She sits on a south facing window and gets about 12-16 hours of sunlight. He water it about 2-3 times a month. Recently we noticed this white stuff growing on it. He cleaned it off but it keeps coming back.
We’ve taken it away from his other plants just in case but we’ve no idea what it is or how to fix it.

Looks like mealy bugs. (If you want to be sure, they turn brown and shrivel if you touch them with a q tip dipped in alcohol). Remove as many as you can with a q tip and spray with anti-insecticide. Check ALL of your other plants (especially the nooks and crannies) and keep a close eye on this one for a while
looks like the start of a mealybug infestation, use a qtip with isopropyl alcohol to remove the ones you can see and then spray the whole plant with neem oil or dish soap.
be sure to check your other plants for mealybugs too, they spread very quickly
