Argos is offering shoppers the chance to save 20% on some of its bestselling garden furniture sets just in time for the summer holidays. The homeware retail giant will discount the price of eligible outdoor items when customers add the code GARDEN20 at the checkout.
One of the most popular top-rated sets included in the offer is the 4 Seater Rattan Effect Garden Sofa Set, which has a full price of £320 – meaning with the discount code it will be reduced to £256. This compact set includes a four-seater sofa designed with spaces to sit down or stretch out, as well as a matching footstool that can also be used as a table and doubles up as a storage box too.
The sofa set is made with a trendy woven rattan look and finished off with padded cream cushions to blend into any outside space. Plus, Argos’ garden furniture offer makes it cheaper than some lookalike alternatives at other retailers, such as the Rattan Sofa Lounger Set from Dunelm for £329, and the Outsunny 4-Seater Rattan Storage Sofa Set, which is on offer via deals website Wowcher for £274.99.
However, there are similar options available for even less elsewhere on the high street, including the likes of the Costway Patio Rattan Conversation Set at B&Q for £189.95, and the Alexandria Corner Set from The Range which has seen its price slashed from £349.99 down to £199.99 in the summer sale.
Back at Argos, the Rattan Effect Garden Sofa Set comes recommended by an impressive 95% of shoppers who reviewed it, earning an average rating of 4.6 out of five stars based on more than 2,000 reviews. It’s also available in grey for the same reduced price by using the discount code at the checkout.

And a different reviewer remarked: “Assembling wasn’t easy. Make is not that great. Wouldn’t recommend.” A few others commented on the difficulty of putting the set together, with one person describing it as a “nightmare”, although others said they found it “straightforward”.
