Located in east Texas, we have received a lot of rain since January (over 40”). I am suspecting that the roots have stayed saturated for far too long. Possibly I’m wrong. Can anything be done to save this tree?
I don’t think so, I think the right leader is in decline and will be gone in the next year or two.. then the left lead will be out of balance and with no mitigation fail within 5-8 years

You might give it a chance by removing the right side. Might be a better chance if you leave some green on the right, maybe first couple uninfected Ys
