Stick it in soil in a pot and start watering after two weeks. Only water the soil, not the plant. Should be fine if you only give it water every two weeks (but that will depend on your conditions). The plant will tell you if it needs more water. Cannot take up much water at this stage anyway while there are so few roots.

I’d take the stick out and cut off any glue that may be down there. Then you can place it on soil. The easiest mix is 50% cactus soil and 50% perlite.
Don’t water it until it has roots but those should start popping up in a month or so. Then you’ve got a little plant 🙂 only water it when it looks wrinkly and thirsty and give it lots of sunlight and it will be very happy
