Tell me what you think. I thought about overseeding in the fall with a native wildflower mix. It's beautiful when all the violets are blooming. The yard is on a pretty sleep slope. There's no grass, just violets, goldenrods, mixed asters, St John's wort and a few others I planted at the bottom. I've been slowly eliminating the non-natives. Had a bad patch of stilt grass! I do allow some mock strawberries at the top where nothing else seems to grow. The soil is Carolina red clay in Hickory, NC.
My spouse hates it but is supportive! 🤪 And I know it drives my next door neighbor dislikes it but she's polite. She has perfectly striped grass and geometric shaped bushes. 🙄 But I love it!

I would personally add more variety both for the sake of biodiversity and for the perceived beauty. It’s far too much of a mono culture for my tastes, but it’s your backyard!
Is that all ivy? Cool. Never head of that.
I’m just impressed at how you managed to cover every single bit of ground with violets
Gorgeous. I can’t believe how well your violets filled in every bit of space. And in a sunny spot, too. Well done!
it’s beautiful! there are other low growing wildflowers native to your area, maybe a phlox or green-and-gold. i’m sure it would be pretty with more variety! check out the NC Native Plant Society 🙂

I’m sure the view is amazing from the chairs. Great job!
