Please tell me this is wild violet and not lesser celandine. Zone 5b. We have just over an acre and it’s growing on both sides of our house but not as much in the front and back. If it’s violet I’m going to leave it but if it’s lesser celandine I’m going to start digging it up because I’ve read it’s very invasive. I vaguely remember our kids collecting purple flowers this spring but for the life of me cannot actually picture what our yard looked like. I don’t recall yellow flowers besides dandelions. Any help appreciated!

It looks like violet to me, you can leave them
You can recognize lesser celandine by the bulbs if you pull out a clump, it is indeed invasive and really difficult to dig out without leaving pieces that will grow back
I screenshotted your pic and put it in my plant ID app. It says it’s common blue violet. I’m also in zone 5b and it looks like the wild violets I get in my yard.
