I had these two air plants–Curly Slim and Seleriana–for a number of years. I have taken to pruning them. There is resistance when I gently tug on their middle leaves, but I don't think they're going to recover from the state that they're in.

Yeah that brown core looks bad
Did you over soak them? Once their center is brown like this, its usually sayonara.
They look grim but honestly leave them on a window sill for a little bit and see if they can dry out before just throwing them away.
