    Huh, I wonder if that’s a mutation or if it isn’t actually the cultivar it supposedly is.

    Really cool if it’s a mutation though. (Wait a sec, if it is mutated and can now reproduce, does that technically mean it’s a new cultivar now?)

    Ginkgos are known to occasionally switch sexes. A branch on a male tree mutates, and suddenly you have an intersex tree. It’s pretty neat IMO, but some people hate it.

    Ginkgo trees have been known to change sexes.
