I know this question has been asked before, but I just wanna hear more people’s takes. I’ve started building a spray foam background with built in hides and nursery pots. I want to have a big centerpiece in the tank tho. I was thinking maybe a more tropical bonsai or a schefflera. Pls lemme know what you think!!

Scheffleras arboricola are super easy to keep in vivariums. I have some in even smaller tanks than this. They’re a must have for my arboreal geckos honestly
A bonsai would really depend on the species. Tropical species, like you mentioned, would possibly work but you’ll also want to consider how much light they’ll need. If shade is okay or if they require full sun and a high power grow light. Youll also want to make sure the tree can withstands the daily dry out period your gecko needs as different tropical trees like different humidity ranges. Bonsai is also an art form and would need maintained as such with regular pruning and occasional repotting and root pruning.
