[Music] good morning everyone so I wanted to go over a couple items that I picked up at our local Dollar Tree and share them with you now the store I had went to and visited was just putting out their Spring Garden items so there was a multitude of things going on they were very busy hard at work and I want to give them credit for that they work really hard and getting all this new product out for everyone I see so many videos of us all enjoying the Dollar Tree well let’s appreciate the workers they work really really hard to get that all out put away and make sure you stay to the end so I can show you the bonus item that I got at the Dollar Tree so let’s get into it so um my Dollar Tree hul I just picked up a few items that I had seen like I said they were just putting items out um I’ll start with the one item that I got for the $5 deal this is a folding pruning saw the reason I pick this up is sometimes in a bind you’re going to need to trim some overhanging branches that are above your garden or possibly um on a low tree limb you want to grab so a hand pruning saw is nice just to keep in your gardening bag for those purposes um you you may need to trim some little shrub that’s growing around the area and of course we want to have our plants and our Gardens to have the little sunlight they can as long as they require it but um so this works out perfect so it’s only $5 and I think it was a good investment I’ll let you know if I have any problems with it but for $5 you know so then I purchased a pack of the plant labels um I do have some of these from years before I try to reuse everything so I will clean them off and then rewrite the label on them I kind of grow the same things every year with a couple exceptions if I find something new that I want to try um but I’m pretty set on the varieties and such so these do work I use these more so in the Garden once they plant the plants out when I do my planting indoors the sewing indoors of the seeds I use um another technique for those because they’re smaller little containers where those seeds are so um but these are great for when you’re planting them out in the garden and for a dollar you’re getting 10 so they work out great another thing I picked up is the plant clips so these plant Clips I’m going to open them up for you so you can see them you get 20 in a pack they come in multiple sizes so you have your small little clips and I don’t know I’m going to try to zoom in and show you so they’re like that and you just put your well I use them for my pepper plants because my pepper plants get pretty tall and heavy once the peppers grow on them so I have to stake them so the stock of the plant will go right into that Groove there and then you just clip it on to whatever you have there um whatever Pole or um Garden steak you have there these are the bigger ones so I’d say they’re probably like an inch and a half and they also work great some of my pepper plants do better than the others um as far as height goes and they get really heavy with um when they’re full of fruit so when they’re full of fruit they can get pretty heavy and uh these work perfect to hold those up and again you get 20 so 2 four 6 8 12 of the larger ones so eight of the smaller ones I think they’re a great investment I get them every year they have them out another thing the Dollar Tree usually carries and I was surprised I didn’t see it this year is The Twist cord um it’s got the rubbery texture outside of it and it’s like a Twist wire but it’s coated and it works marvelous I use that all the time and I reuse it I’ve had mine sets probably for like 5 years so they work really good and um like I said I reuse them every year I clean them off cuz you don’t want to have any disease from the year before transfer to your plants when you’re your newer plants um so you don’t want that disease to transfer so you clean everything off with some soapy water another thing I purchased is one of my favorite things from Dollar Tree is the Mis and um I purchased one last year so I wanted to have one at the Garden and then one here you can use these for your indoor plants you can use it just for a little decoration if you want to put it in your spring Decor it’s really sweet um I can see this sitting on a little pedestal near a little succulent or something um but they’re really sweet the glass is really nice very pretty they come in four different colors and um they work really well again they are the top part is plasticky so you just want to be careful and use care with it all right so let’s get to the important part of the haul so these here I had seen that they had more seeds I couldn’t pass them up um one thing that I like to try to do is just make sure I have a variety of things so I will mention real quick the bunching onion seeds perfect for Dollar Tree price you just put in the ground sew them right out and you can grow them they also have the munter cucumber and these can be pricey so for the small little fee of four packs for $125 is perfect so speaking of the seeds flower portion is one of my favorites also so um this year I am going to grow Cosmos again they really do great in the garden I’ll throw in a picture here for you to [Music] see some of the colors I got last year were just beautiful and they were actually um blooming for the wedding so that was really nice and if you haven’t seen that video go check that one out is in my playlist so um but the cosmos uh just added a little extra color to the Garden they were end of season color but I love it and I’ll take it so the next thing I have is patun seeds now these are the dwarf bedding mixed colors and bring that in a little bit closer for you so patonia seeds take a little bit longer to get them going and um roll them out for your Spring plantings so I’m going to start those really really soon and I think I’ll do that as soon as the kids come over so they can help me get these started now with these seeds patun seeds are extremely extremely tiny so you can either put them in like a say a salt shaker and sprinkle them out or you can just try to do it with your hands and lay them out um you will find patunas in some of the other brands um whether it be Burpee or something like that you can get them where they’re pelleted which only means that they have a coating over them so that you’re able to actually plant that seed out because like I said they’re extremely tiny they’re kind of like lettuce seeds they’re very small so um adding the pelleted portion to the seed just helps with planting them out and um it kind of makes it a little bit bigger to see and what you’re doing with the seed so I just just wanted to mention that so patun seeds sometimes come with that these do not have the pelleted P portion on the seed so I just wanted to mention that to you but I can’t wait to get the patunas started I will mention though that last year Aldi had a fantastic deal on Planters of patunas so if you want to go that route hey I say whatever adds a little bit of beauty to your life and if you enjoy it I think they were really discounted at like $5 a planter or something and they did beautiful some of the other nurseries have beautiful large large patonia plants hanging plants that are just absolutely stunning you’re probably going to pay 20 to $30 some places more for a beautiful hanging plant but again if it adds that Touch of Beauty to your life and you enjoy it and you can do it that’s great I’m very budget friendly so I keep everything extremely cheap and that’s how I’m able to Garden um another thing that I picked up that I just had to have and this is my last little item and I usually don’t buy a lot of decor for the garden because I I just love the colors of all the greens and the lushness so I don’t really add a lot of Decor I may add a little bit more cuz teller had some really cute items this year so you may find that I do put a little into the garden a little bit bit more but the garden is my happy place and it most certainly is so I my wish for you this year is that you try to learn to Garden whether it’s a small little bean plant that you’ll do and you can do these things in little pots you can grow them on a little patio in an apartment complex you can grow plants and vegetables in pots I just want you to try this year set out and set a little goal of maybe some small things that you can grow if you want to put one zucchini plant in in a pot and see how it does I say go for it it’s about learning it’s about teaching something to our younger our younger people it’s about sharing our knowledge with them and hopes that someday their thumb will be greener and you know just because one year your garden failed it doesn’t mean it’s going to fail every year you’re learning lessons as you go I I’ve seen people do Gardens just in regular dirt on the ground you know I’m not going to say anything because I believe that they’re trying and they’re exploring and they’re learning and that’s what it’s about growth not only growth of your garden but growth of your heart and your mind gardening brings so much joy to me I thoroughly love it I hope you do too if you’re here I’m assuming you do and I just want you to try this year um even if you went to the Dollar Tree right now and you purchased four packets for $125 of marold seeds you take those maragold seeds you place them in some potting mix or some seed starting mix that you can get for $5 a bag at your local box stores I believe it’s roughly about $5 and you grow your own marac Golds and place them out you’ll have some pretty yellows and oranges for The Fall season and even the summer so it’s just about taking a chance and learning to start to grow plants you can certainly go to your local nurseries and purchase a ready starts seedlings and you know that’s a great option too if that is something you’d like to do it’s getting your hands in the dirt and realizing that you have the power to be able to grow your own food and with these times growing a bushel of tomatoes is fantastic you can put that bushel in your freezer you can can it and it’s going to provide for you and your family now it might not be your tomato sauce that you buy at the store but once you’ve tasted a homegrown tomato and if you like them there’s nothing like it want to get into your garden get into the dirt and enjoy gardening like I do so that’s my wish for you as that you decide to plant your own garden or even start as small as one seed in one pot thank enjoyable to go and find some of the stuff again they have so much garden decor that’s going out I hope you find so much joy in going there and looking at that those items um so I hope you enjoy the rest of the video and just kind of see what they’re expecting to have out soon some of the items and it gives you an idea so gardening is not cheap but there’s a way to do it as frugally as possible and when you do it that way your heart may hurt when you lose a little plant but you’ll be able to feel like you can do it again and try again the following year thank thank you I hope you watch the rest of the video and please subscribe if you haven’t already this particular Dollar Tree had their seat display out where they just have it in categories this is the specialty category they have their vegetables and they had a variety of everything they also had the flowers here I’m just picking up a package of patunas um my favorite are Cosmos mirold vinas and here I am picking up a package of the plastic plant labels I like to use these outside however sometimes you have to go over them again a couple times with a black marker when I do the indoor sewing of the seeds I actually use a mini blind that is cut up so that I can write everything on to that little tiny mini blind and stick that right in with the plant and I’ll show show you that later on when we do our planting again this store was just putting out their gardening items so here is just some small little green houses these would be actually perfect for starting like Miracles and then you have your seed starter pods so they give you multiple options as far as your planting containers here are the plastic starting containers I do use these they are very thin in but I find them worth the $125 here’s just some planters that you could possibly use for when you up plant your tomato plants and pepper plants or any indoor plants that you might want I actually like these ones better with a watering spout in them for any kind of indoor plants the Dollar Tree also carries the section stackable Planters they’re kind of a knockoff of the green stock planter and here we have the wire hanging baskets these are perfect if you’re going to grow patunas or purchase a petunia plant you can place it in that once you get the liner placed in this you can also plant the morning glory seeds in there and they will actually Vine down and they look beautiful filled in a side note while morning glory seeds and Morning Glory flowers are just absolutely stunning they can be very invasive so it’s very hard to get rid of them so once you start them you’re stuck with them but they’re beautiful and here are the metal hanging plant brackets these actually work out really good they’re very sturdy I have multiple of these I did not get one of these little sprinklers but boy they’re adorable and I should have here are the plastic watering cans they do come in multiple colors these are also so very sturdy and good for watering your indoor plants these are the kneeling pads they work great if you’re doing some outdoor gardening Dollar Tree has an amazing assortment of gardening gloves these ones here are their spring collection multiple designs different textures some are the latex gloves if you’ve seen here I use them for when my hands are going to be getting wet multiple colors for those I always pick up a couple extra pairs just to have on hand I usually use my regular gardening gloves on The Daily but these ones when I um am just going into the garden for a few minutes something that if they get rued I can easily purchase another pair for $125 they also had the plastic spray bottles they had these ones here they also are supposed to have the little kids ones with the bee ladybug and such which are adorable this store did not have them they also have the spray Mister that I loved I do have um one from last year the top is plastic but if you’re gentle with it it also makes for a beautiful decoration Dollar Tree has an abundance of tools for gardening they always carry different kinds [Music] they also carry some great cultivators these are perfect for help putting out mulch some small shovels and here they have the trowels I find their tools to be quite sturdy and Lasting these here are the 20c count plastic garden plant Clips I personally use these they do come in multiple sizes inside here I find these work great in holding up my pepper plants this here is a great deal for landscaping fabric if you’re going to use the fabric these Stakes can help hold that fabric down and in place I personally do not use landscaping fabric but I know a lot of landscapers do okay so before I go I wanted to show you one last item that I hope this will help you out with so with your seeds you always want to keep them cool dark and dry so um I had an option that I found at the Dollar Tree to help with the seeds keeping them dry I have purchased other items before I’ve kept them in shoe boxes but with shoe boxes sometimes you’re always worried that they could get damp and if they do then your seeds will not be any good so we want to protect them and keep them as waterproof as possible so let me show you really quick what I purchased for my seeds so this is a container that I got at the Dollar Tree has a handle a lid and the lid is lockable on both ends okay the lid will come off you have this is actually very deep they has um more shallow ones but this one is a little bit deeper so this is really nice and then all you have to do is organize your seeds however you wish seed packets fit in there nicely and now you have a nice secure container that is not going to let any pesky Critters in there you lock out and they’re nice and dry and safe I really
