these are my top five backyard upgrades for your landscaping First thing is important is a back porch You can call it a patio You got to have concrete pad You got to have pavers decompose granite whatever you got You got to have a sitting area You have to have a space you can sit down and enjoy your backyard Number two I love some shade You can do that with a pergola a privacy wall You can do some really tall trees in the corner as well Number three is flower beds I’m a big believer that your backyard should not just be grass You can do it off of the patio You can do it off the fence lines on the side of the house anywhere possible have a little bit of fire beds not huge ones but ones where you get a flavor in your backyard Number four is landscape lighting There’s nothing better you can do to your home It adds to your curb appeal and you can see it at night Hang out It creates the aesthetic Number five is Oklahoma specific All those tight houses together grass is never going to grow there Stop trying There’s not enough physical sunlight in the day Do rock Do decompose granite Do pavers Do concrete I don’t care if you do pool noodles Do anything except mud cuz I know it’s getting in your house and on your rugs and stuff from the dogs Got to get rid of it
