I’ve gotta say, as caterpillars go, they’re actually quite polite houseguests – they stuck to the common stuff, only ate a few leaves apiece, and sensibly cocooned themselves on something I didn’t need to repot or prune for a bit.
8/10, would host again, even if I’d prefer they didn’t hone in on the tender new leaves quite so hard.

Need to know what type of caterpillar that is! I’m sure it’s really common wherever you are OP, but I’ve never seen one
*Burp* That was delicious. Now, it’s time for a nap and metamorphosis.
Your own little science experiment!
Fun fact: these caterpillars are related to monarchs (same subfamily, Danainae), and hoyas are in the same family as milkweed, which is, famously, the monarch’s host plant. I just thought that was neat. Thank you for being nice to your little guests!
