I see a lot of calathea hate on this sub, but I’ve had this peacock plant since December 2021 and it’s honestly been one of my favorite plants I’ve ever had! I don’t do anything special—distilled water when needed and a small, partially obstructed west-facing window. I’m not an expert by any means (I’ve killed a feather calathea), but I’m just proud of this one and wanted to show calatheas some rare love! Last pic is the only one I can find of it in its younger years, sorry it’s blurry but that’s the same window for reference.

I hate mine. She brought spider mites🥰🥰❤️🫶
Oh no I love calatheas, the problem is the feeling isn’t mutual 😭
How is that unpopular? She’s beautiful!
That leaf ❤️
Also from my experience, filtered (or rain water) plus high humidity are really the “secret” to calathea
They are one of my favorites! My first plant was a makoyana!

It’s crazy how my lack of humidity here should be a death sentence for them , yet they are my fastest growers.
It’s beautiful!
I love my Calathea, she just keeps trying to die on me.
I just showed your photos to my Calathea. She needs to do better.
That’s a HUGE one! I kind of want a Calathea but they’re very intimidating (I’m sticking with maranta lemon lime)
Tell her I love her too 😍
People only hate it because it’s so temperamental but if you can provide the right care and conditions it’s a stunning plant.
Unpopular opinion I also love your calathea
