I had to do an "emergency " degraft because the pereskiopsis wore out completely on one of my grafts. I transferred to trichocereus and this was the tip from it, and a side pup from the scion (lophaphora)
I love how propagation works and how its like a duplication glitch for plants, and grafting is also like a cheat code. It just so cool to me.
This whole graft is tiny and while waiting for root development it all shriveled up like a raisin, for about a month. Then one day out pops two roots. I potted it up and now its plump again, hard as a rock.

  1. I didn’t see the penny at first (was focused on the cactus) and thought, well, it’s not THAT small — oh, damn!

    Nicely done!
