Got a small hill in our yard that I’m not sure how to handle. Everywhere else we are basically doing mulch, and I’m not sure if a heavy rain would wash the mulch on here into the driveway. And would this need a root system to keep mud from running into the driveway during rain as well? Thoughts?

Root cellar or some kind of underground structure for playing

I can’t tell exactly how steep it is from the photos, but mulch is probably not going to stay on it too long. You could try killing the grass and tossing a ton of wildflower seeds on it. Or a combo of seeds and starter plugs, but maybe try to get it full enough not to need mulch.

Built in slides, and steps on the side.

If you have kids (idk if that playset in the bg is part of your yard or not) – what would be the most fun thing you could put there for them?

It’s an empty slope right now. Why not make it something f***ing rad that they will love now and daydream about for the rest of their lives.

If you don’t have kids, you should totally make that sh** a slip n’ slide. Wayyyyy too hectic and dangerous for children, but awesome as all hell

Personally, retaining wall to distinguish and level out upper and lower portions, and garden boxes in the upper.

  5. Chuck a load of wildflower seeds down and see how it goes 🤷🏼‍♀️
