Looking after my parents’ house while they’re on vacation. Arrived to a pleasant surprise!

  1. Image Description: The picture shows part of a garden with an overgrown area. A bigger patch of tall, dry grass and various wildflowers native to Switzerland, including a large number of yellow flowers (possibly *Galium verum*?), contrasts with the shorter mown clover lawn around it. Parts of a fence and some greenery can be seen in the background.

    Location: Central Europe (Switzerland)
    Plant Hardiness Zone: Zone 7b (-15°C to -12.2°C or 5°F to 10°F)

  2. Here’s a [closer shot of the grass and flowers](https://i.imgur.com/bkwonqz.jpeg).

    I also found a [bee](https://i.imgur.com/CNduGsE.jpeg) and a [butterfly](https://i.imgur.com/tNRbW2n.jpeg)!
While walking back to the house, I noticed a [hedgehog with two ticks on it](https://i.imgur.com/T9ZdXjj.jpeg), so I carefully [picked it up](https://i.imgur.com/2yzU9BY.jpeg) and removed them.
There are leopard slugs (Limax maximus) here, and two bats chasing each other in the evening. Tons of bees and birds and insects.
I feel like a Disney Prince, this is amazing!
