Located in the Western Australian Wheatbelt region 🙂
This area was all pea gravel, dead grass and weeds when we purchased the place 3 years ago.

It seems like it would be far more fun that they get to discover cool looking plants and bugs, play hide and seek, play Jurassic Park. I wish I got to grow up like this!

I grew up with a lawn on 3/4 of our large property but the wilderness my dad intentionally left in the way backyard was far more fun to explore and play in.

I grew up in the middle of a forest. It was fucking awesome. I spent my time climbing trees, picking wildflowers, fishing on our lake, learning about plants and insects and animals, hunting for the cryptids that were rumored to haunt our woods, etc. No need for grass at all.
