I'm thinking about taking the step of adding living animals into my terrarium, and I'm thinking the first animal that I can add are springtails and isopods. I read that you need a huge room for and isopod but that's also if you're thinking about adding 15-20 isopod in one place. But I'm thinking of adding just a couple per jar. So these are the sizesiof the biggest jar I have rn

1st pic : 16cm tall, (bottom to neck), 9,5cm in diameter
2nd pic : 9cm tall, 11cm in diameter
3rd pic : 11cm tall (bottom to neck), 9,5cm in diameter

So my questions are can I put isopods in them? If yes, how much, and what size, are the one ranging from 1-2cm in size okay, or I should just stick to small ones? Can I put isopod and springtails together?
If I couldn't put isopods, can I put springtails instead? Sorryify it's hard to understand because English is my second language, and I appreciate all ofyourj help. Thank you.

i’m a bit new so someone else might have better advice, but from what I’ve learned isopods do prefer a bit more room, I do think springtails would be a good addition though.

Hello! So first hell yes you can have isopods ja springtails in same enclosure πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ but these might be a bit small for even few unless you use like Trichorhina tomentosa White Dwarf Isopods.

Also it’s kinda hard to feed larger isopods coz they need leaf litter and in small terrarium all that leaf litter is going to take too much space imo 😁

So with these ones I would use springtails and few dwarf isopods 😁 bedsides algae and mold you should supplement their diet by adding small flake of fish food every now and then πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
