What plant can you not give up on even though you have killed them so many times?
This poor string of pearls cried when I picked it up. It reached its little strings out to its friends and begged to stay with them. But I? I bought it anyway.
I’ve killed at least 5 string of pearls… this post makes me want to pick up another one š

I love alocasias. My house is not humid enough for them. They don’t usually die, but they struggle sadly, until I accept it and give them away. I know this, yet I can’t stop trying….

Oh yea I also have killed string of pearls. For me itās basil plants. I have killed like 5 basil plants (all in pots). I wonder if they would do better if I put them in the ground.

I can never resist a string of pearls. I killed a couple but Iāve had recent luck⦠š„²
I love very variegated shit – I have a calathea white fusion thatās somehow still alive, a pink princess thatās been through hell and back⦠some of these variegated bitches just donāt make it. But Iāll buy them again š

I swear string of pearls likes neglect. Mine started dying when I brought it home. I removed the dead parts and repotted it, put it in my window and forgot about it.. I maybe water it once every 3-4 weeks and now itās thriving lmao

Working on my second string of Pearls plant. I tried saving the last of my other plant but the last prop opportunity shriveled up. Had to go buy another little guy but seems to be doing great now
My husband wonāt stop getting me Calatheas š they always start out so strong and a month in they all spontaneously die, in like, 48 hours! Iāve put them in different places. Tried different watering methods and amounts. Direct and indirect sunlight. They just donāt like me, and Iāve accepted that. š

Iāve killed two string of turtles so far⦠but the ones I repeatedly kill and keep buying? Begonias.

Too many to name. But that hasn’t stopped me yet

Trandascentia Zebrina āWandering Dudeā – I donāt even care if this plant is in my collection and yet I canāt seem to get rid of it or give up on it. I continue to prop it once it tries to die and bring it back to life at which point I say āwhy do I keep doing this?!ā

Its crazy that so many people struggle with SOPs, i wonder why that is? Genuinely. I have a SOP and i just got a VSOP and i find them very easy to care for
Houseplant_Biter
Pothos. I know they’re super easy to care for. I’ve taken care of much more fussy plants like Alocasias. But I just can’t take care of a simple pothos.

My daughter gave me a 10ā pot of pearls that was stunning. Slowly but surely it kept dying. I started to buy new ones and stick them in the pot so she wouldnāt notice. I lost all of them in two years.

Any and all succulents. I love them. I live in the perfect place for them, but I don’t think I have enough sun. They all grow funky and weird but I can’t resist a little $2 friend when I go to the store. I just see them as temporary plants for me.

I have about my forth or fifth string of pearls hanging in my window. It’s just starting to die, lasted longer than any of the others. Will just buy another once it dies

I cannot with strings of pearls! I have had beautiful pots of it but they all just dwindle and die

Hens and chick’s. I think it’s just too hot and dry here. And it doesnt get cold enough either.

Alocasiaās
My home has hot water heat and AC. Itās where humidity goes to die. But it isnāt a quick death, itās a slow decent. Philodendrons are what I use to cope, they donāt always ooze personality like an Alocasia does, but they make up for it with variegations.

Iāve finally ventured back into the world of calatheas because I found that I could actually keep them alive if theyāre grown in water. Same for jewel orchids.
Shaydee_plantz
Iāve killed two of these and ALMOST bought another at the nursery the other day. I walked away and got some outdoor plants that I know will survive lol.

I’ve killed too many ZZ plants to count. Each time I try something different. I’ve learnt their needs and try my best to provide, but they still die a quick death. My friend gave me a Raven a couple of weeks ago, and this time I’m trying semi-hydro for it. It was kinda sad looking to start with and I figured what the heck let’s try. This might be the one š¤

My record is killing 3 banana trees and now going for my fourth š . These motherfuckers keep playing with me

This is random, but I think you have two plants mixed in that pot? One looks like a string of pearls and the other one looks like a string of bananas (or at least thatās the name they have them as at my local nursery)

Fittonia. The nerve plant. I may have finally solved it.
