  1. In regard to wearing gloves. Question; have you ever tried the O'Keeffe's Working Hands cream? I have been gardening for years and it is truly the best. I rarely wear gloves. I just put it on every night before bed.

  2. Good morning, Laura and Aaron… Of all the channels that I might watch pertaining to gardening I make sure I never miss yours every day! Best thing going. I did want to let you know I had read that you could use water softeners in your fountains to avoid much of the hard water deposits… It might be worth trying.

  3. You're like me, Aaron, we were having an issue with our grass, and no matter what we did, it was turning yellow. I said, "I'm done, I'm done trying. I don't know what's wrong or how to fix it." After that is started turning green again. I only have so much patience.

Regarding the Lemon Coral sedum blooming, mine are too for the first time. I've heard a couple of gardeners complaining about the blooming this year. It's very odd how everyone is having the same thing occur.

  4. 2:33 I love the tie in for your $49 off sale. However, America turns 250 on the fourth. ❤ love the enthusiasm though. Sure I’m not the first one that’s told you.
12:16 back with a question. Do you have a water softener on your water system? Would that help with all your hard water staining?

  5. That’s kind of like us in northwestern Illinois, Iowa is just across the Mississippi River. A lot of people go to Iowa for gas because the prices are so much cheaper.

  6. I’ve had to prune the blooms off my coral sedum twice this year & already about to do it again. Really unusual this year. I grow it every year & it’s actually a perennial here in zone 9b Northern CA. Just weird coral sedum blooming year.

  7. What do you think the family as a whole would get more use/ enjoyment out of ? Pools are expensive but I think you can make that happen sooner. Maybe tge horses can be your project when the kids are older/away at school??

  8. To repair drip tape I bought straight couplers specifically for drip tape. I tried others and they didn’t work. I got mine from Drip Depot specifically for drip Tape. It does matter.

  9. Leaf cutter bees are important pollinators and solitary bees that don’t do too much damage…just unsightly ❤❤check out the RHS about them xxx

  10. Canadian- LOVED the American flag and firework edit, I actually LOL’d because I didn’t expect a background edit on this channel. ❤ Happy soon to be 4th of July American friends!!! Happy gardening and stay safe with the fireworks near the garden 😂❤🎉 hoping it scares away some plant pests 🎇🐛

  11. Hey, if you both decide to travel to Pennsylvania to see the new Espoma factory, be sure to take some time to visit Chanticleer Garden and Longwood Gardens. They’re both amazing!

  12. Definitely splurge on a classic shape dark liner saltwater pool with fountain feature! Maybe keep a couple horses at a nearby local riding stable and sponsor abandoned horses at a rehabilitation shelter. Best of all worlds!

  13. Have you considered it may be the big rocks causing the algae. I noticed on one of your tours that where the small rock was in the deep section was also clear. Perhaps you need to change out the big rocks?

  14. Hello Laura and Aaron, although I'm not a gardener, heat gives me migraines, I still watch you daily because I want to support families with good wholesome content and I love it when you do something crafty, and I love watching you plan and then see that plan come to fruition. Just curious, I don't remember you planting any nut trees. Do they not grow in your area? We had Pecan trees when I was a kid, and I have such fond memories of we as a family picking up pecans the week of Thanksgiving and all the things my mom would cook and bake with those Pecans.

  15. I have a large area of beautiful purple iris’ which have bloomed beautifully every year, this year I only got 3 blooms. I’m thinking they need to be divided (?) but I don’t know where to start. If you have any that need divided in your garden could you please make a video on this process. Thank you so much for all you and Aaron share with us. ❤

  16. We live in Idaho and shop in Ontario. I like to tell friends that we live 1.5 hours from the nearest Walmart and it's in a different state. We don't buy pot.

  17. My parents and I both planted flamethrower redbuds last fall here in zone 6 in Kansas. Both of our trees did not bud out this spring but are growing well from sprouts from the base of the trees. Is the tree considered doomed or should we see what happens next year?

  18. Yes, the kids will grow up and out grow them horses. They sure won't want to ride them in the summer, it's to hhoottt. They will eventually get married and have kids of their own. Kids and teen ages and babies and grownups all loves pools. Everyone won't love horses. Everyone can enjoy the pool at the same time. Horses would be a take turn deal. Bawling around. Grandkids Laura and Aaron. I'm surely on Team Pool.😊

  19. I can spray BT anytime?! GREAT! The dawn/dusk thing can be a hard time for me. I knew it only did the catapillers, but I just the timing stuck in my head.

  20. Oh my gosh, Aaron makes me chuckle when he throw his hands up in the air talking about trees and he says we just can’t have anything nice and then the trees come out and turn beautiful. I have felt that way about certain plants you just can’t give them direct eye contact until they takeoff on their ownlike Laura says just give the side eye for a while.

  21. For the hibiscus/superbell pots, possibly water differences, could you plant pot in pot to strategically place more drip to water center more for hibiscus? Fyi not my idea, saw another YT that did this. It also facilitated swapping out the center plant for later season interest or a nonproductive one.

  22. My husband is from Lewiston,Idaho. The Walmart was closed in Lewiston & moved across the river next to Costco in Clarkston, Washington. The sales tax in Washington is dang near 10% . That was a Really Crappie thing to do!! Washington has no income taxes, but if you live in Idaho & work in Washington, you still pay Idaho income tax🙄

  23. Hi Laura & Aaron, Love your content, I watch every day.
I know it’s a bit early, but where do you purchase your seed garlic?

  24. There are a lot of things out there you can put in your fountains to get rid of that hard water. They use in aquariums and fountains. You might want to check it out and google.

  25. Same on the leaf cutter bees here in zone 9 central CA.. They attack the Flame Thrower Redbuds too.. But not really the other regular redbud trees..

  26. Question. I did wintersowing with hollyhock. I planted them in the ground quiet awhile back. They are blooming the most sweetest pink flowers now. Is this Norma? I thought all hollyhocks was a biannual. And will they come back next year. It was a seed packet from our Dollar Tree. Lol 😊

  27. Now about the pool, wouldn't it be awesome to have an indoor pool? Just think about it, less cleaning, year round use And its another greenhouse! 😊

  28. TREES: Rosey Teacups Dogwood 20 ft tall….Erin at Impatient Gardner has one..Zone 6 to 8…you need some of these!

  29. Sent to your andrewsseed email some info on the giant plumbago we have here in So Cal.
I didn’t know it came in a small size!

  30. I always enjoy the recap videos. I’ve learned so much watching your channel over the years. Question: Is there a reason you don’t plant the heirloom mums out in your landscape?

  31. The yews on the path…yes, I agree with Aaron… need to move them. It's been puzzling me that you are happy with how they look there.
