First time attempting to graft ever and I decided to try and graft a segment of my recently acquired TINY microsphaerica due to the difficulty of growing these plants on their own roots long term. I lined everything up but my concern is when I cut the scion the bottom of the scion ended up turning dark green immediately as if it got bruised. Can the graft still fuse if the bottom bruised?

Looks fine, gotta see how it goes from here. I like to secure it with something that has some elasticity so it can keep pressure as everything dehydrates a bit. But for this, id think you’ll be ok. My fingers are crossed
