By hand usually, just reach back there and pluck it out

Slow head speed. Blip your throttle and get in there. Otherwise I’d put a block between the fence and post.

I tilt my weed-waker upright like when I edge the sidewalks, seems to do the trick

I spray a weedkiller personally 4 inch strip for the whole fenceline.

  5. Try some different angles, it might just be a spot you can’t get.

Weed whackers will chew up wooden fences after a few years so it’s not ideal to have grass right up against them but sometimes that’s just what you have to work with.

The ol’slow throttle weed whip technique…

I’ve been teaching my dog to pee on the fence

  8. Do you have a tractor supply near you? You can also order online. Herbicide and prevention called RM43. I spray very near my fence edge to avoid this. Be cautious it kills EVERYTHING.

  9. I round up the whole fence line about 3 inches and the poles.

I’ll be honest, it is too hot, and I am too lazy, to care about little tufts like that. I get as close as I can with the weed whacker, and move on

Put a perfectly sized rock behind each one.

I usually pick my fence up to get back there

If you take the guard off, you can make the string longer and you should be able to get it in nooks and crannies

I’d use a squirt of herbicide, or just pull it.

You either spray a border around the fence line or you do some landscaping and make a bed around it.

If it’s really just a weed and it’s behind a fence post, round up that shit. Just a tiny little spritz.

Your fence is the problem, it needs to be at least one in clearance. That would solve that issue

I just beat the shit out of the fence from every direction with a string trimmer
