I admit, I saw a flowering anthurium at a botanical garden four years ago and I took a couple fruit. Those two fruit yielded four seed and four plants, two of which I keep and are growing huge, and two of which I've given to friends (and are still alive but not as huge). I absolutely adore this plant, and it grows so well in so many conditions. I've been trying to get a proper ID for years and have failed.

Couldn’t you just contact the garden about it? You don’t even have to say that you stole from them (which, btw, kind of uncool, but I guess what’s done is done). Just say you were taken by the sight of that particular anthurium (not a lie, technically) and would love an ID. Botanical gardens and the like usually know what they’re growing, and some even have a comprehensive list of all of the plants in their collection.
Anthiroum crassinervium/ birds nest anthiroum Maybe?
What if you contact the botanical garden and state that you have an anthurium that you’ve been having trouble identifying and ask them for an ID?
