I’ve eaten so many I think I’m starting to turn into a strawberry. I’m out picking them every morning.

Mine are in large planters and a couple of blackbirds started eating them initially. I put little shiny windmills in the planter and that has seemed to keep the birds away.
If slugs are the problem there are pellets you can buy that are suppose to deter slugs from the plant.
