Noticed this graft slowed down, removed my top dressing and found a basel pup on the root stock. I know some people cut them right away, others let them go long enough to remove later and propagate. Ive heard someone say its ok to let them grow because it will keep the scion from splitting, but ive seen where scions get totally robbed of nutrients to the point they shrivel up and die. This loph is still growing, and pumping up with each feeding, but noticeably slower. So what are your thoughts? What are you doing in this situation?

It would be a goner in my garden. I like to pump and that’s just acting like a parasite. See yah later leach lol
