Only yard in the neighbourhood with them. Only thing I did recently was do a lawn aeration.

  1. Not always a bad thing. Just means your soil is nutritious. So long as the grass isn’t being damaged by brown patch or dollar spot, I’d just mow and bag.

Hell yea man, it’s been rainy the past couple of weeks in the Northeast. I’ve had mushrooms pop up 3 separate times now, and my wife thinks I’m crazy for getting excited about it. But that fungus could’ve grown anywhere. And it picked my lawn!

It’s a good sign of micro life in your ground. Just pick them and eat them.

  4. Earthworms and mushrooms for me. Yard is doing ok

I get them now and again but also I don’t take care of my lawn at all aside from mowing and attempting to level out the land mine testing area that is my back yard lol think previous owners had a pool almost have rolling hills in yard lol.

Mother nature is giving you the thumbs up.

    Proceed as you were.

Cute. It’s got its own little umbrellas like a margarita. Party on OPs lawn!

  8. Great sign! I always get these after I spray a sea kelp and humic acid. Great signs of good soil action going on.

Always odd to me to see these posts. Do people in the north not get mushrooms regularly?

  10. If you eat one, your username grows to all capital letters. Just make sure you get a star before jumping on a goomba.

Have had caps pop up most days the last two months. Finally getting a chance to dry out but at the cost of 95 degree weather. :/.

  12. I have so many mushrooms all over my yard and the only reason I’m not disturbed by it is because of r/lawncare

My lawn used to be riddled with these things. Usually 100+ every time I’d mow and it’s only about 1500sqft. I just put fungicide down because of all the moisture we’ve been having and will miss these little guys.

I have like 8 different kinds on my property. You’ll be fine.

They started popping up in my neighborhood in the last week as well. Tampa / Bahia grass.

Congrats! There’s a reason the best fertilizer is made from mushrooms. You’ve got the healthiest lawn in the hood.

  17. Honestly most people say it’s good to see mushrooms in your lawn because it has good nutrition. But I’ve noticed that it leads to fungus issues / rust and I hate seeing them.

Have shrooms every day here in middle tn. Haven’t had to use the sprinklers in weeks. Lots of rain and humid mornings

Lawn STDs , easy to get rid of with proper treatments

I have them in my yard. I am in Georgia and it has rained a lot the past couple of weeks. I have not seen any on any other yard around me.
