It’s wonderful! When will my native wildflowers bloom already!

Do you ever sleep overnight in your backyard or just for daytime relaxing?

I regret not overseeding more of my yard 😭

Yeah it was great while it lasted the next 5 or 6 days are 90 to 100°!

Of course my sprinkler system broke last night. Looks like I’ll be lugging out the hose and the old school sprinkler for now.

  6. Month? Since March my yard has only dried out once for a couple days. It wasn’t supposed to rain today and it’s been torrential the past few hours. Spring came in like a lion and it’s gonna go out like a lion too lol.

My lawn loves it, my golf habit does not

I certainly don’t hate it, cuz I know what’s coming next week

I have been holding off on another round of weed and feed and could have probably gotten away with it had I applied it in early May. Didn’t want to stress the lawn in the heat though.

Cutting 2x per week right now though.

We will be begging for rain by August still!

I’m in Iowa, they banned watering lawns due to a nitrate problem 3 weeks after I scattered new grass seed…. its still doing well, I’ll take it. Could use a day off to mow please maybe but if it wants to maybe keep raining again after then I’d appreciate it thanks sky gods.

  12. No because I can’t find a chance to cut dry grass lol

  13. I wouldn’t loathe it so much if the weathermen could predict the weather even remotely accurately. During my seeding process I checked that there would be no rain for a week, so I could control the water early on and keep an eye on runoff. Both times (when I seeded and then had to re-smooth with soil and re-seed) it monsooned the next day and caused washout. Or the numerous times there’s been “0% chance” and suddenly we get a half inch when I’m on my way home to mow. Or times like today where we’re told all day “severe thunderstorms, 1/2 in of rain” and I skip golf just for it to not rain at all.

    Anyways, rain good, weathermen evil.
