I guess it's technically not my first time building one, I helped my brother make a closed one last year and it's been thriving so I thought I'd give it a shot making one for myself. I used soil from my garden because I'm hoping I'll see some new plants come up, and also maybe some springtails. I also made a filter layer with charcoal and sand. I decorated it with a few seashells, a big mammal tooth of sorts and a vertebrae I found at the beach, I think it's from a seal. Now I'm just hoping the plants will grow in well. I've started a springtail culture and added some in already because I'm stressing about mould since it's been very hot and humid recently where I live.
