We bought a house in March, and I’ve been excited ever since about planting some native wildflowers somewhere in our tiny yard. Here’s been the process so far! The first picture is the removing the sod, planting and growth progress follows.

this is most perfect location for a native plant garden. there are homes near me set up the same way and I can’t believe people mow this short steep unusable hill every week.

Love it!! Good luck. If I could suggest one thing, to bring nice attention to you hard work, perhaps painting the railing (I’d go with a fun color) -or just to freshen it with black would work. It will just make things look even more impressive as the garden develops.
