Longtime lurker in this group from upstate New York. Just wanted to thank everyone for the advice and knowledge. We bought a house 2 years ago, finished the inside and started on the yard April of ‘24. With what I gained here, I think it’s turned out great so far. We razed the yard, graded, and spent more hours that I care to count digging up brick and glass from what we learned at one point was a demolished hospital on our property. I seeded twice in 24, making the mistake of thinking I could get it to take well in the dead of summer. Fall worked a lot better. Then this year I began with aeration, over seeding, and fertilization this past May. This is it after my second cut. I’ve added some photos and still have some ways to go (screw knotwood and bishops weed), but love how it’s starting to take shape. Next is the 4-5 week fertilization, then some iron to get rid of any difference in color. Any advice is appreciated.

Amazing! I’m sure it was a lot of hard work but it turned out great! What type of grass did you use?
