  1. Finally I think I've figured it out. It's pre-emergent that you use right?! No judgement just so curious if that's how you start in spring with fresh beds.

  2. Seating by the pond under that tree will be so magical with that wonderful view. Have you seen those retaining walls that have built in seating? It will blend in with the landscape but it does have cushion for comfortable seating.

  3. Hi Laura have you noticed any plants that hold up against strong winds? I lean on shrubs and evergreens but struggle with flowers particularly in containers. I’m zone 3 so unable to overwinter perennials in pots. Any annual suggestions?

  4. Been watching your channel for years and love what you are doing with the place!!!! The fish are exciting!!! Where will the tilapia go in the winter?

  5. What a great idea putting that seating are in the shade by the pond! I think that's a fantastic idea!! I know if it was me it would be a spot I'd love especially because it's shaded. Will be a peaceful place to sit and relax💕

  6. Such a relaxing view from the will be new seating. They also get the Hartley & barn garden. And, when the wisteria goes, the chickens!

  7. Absolutely love the gardens. There’s just no getting around it. I don’t know that I could handle all the string.Algae in the pond . I have to admit I’m kind of at the point that I so enjoy looking at your pond, but I don’t think it’s for me. Other than that you’re making me love the mangaves I haven’t really loved those but those potted up in those pots look striking. It seems like a very restful place for the eyes. This is my favorite time of year in your garden this and fall.

  8. As I’m watching today’s video I suddenly thought ‘I bet they move the raised bed garden to the persephone area when the trees come down!’ Would you consider that an area you could use for the new raised bed space? Might be a good opportunity?

  9. Oh we had a front blow through last night with HIGH winds and rain. We've had a lot of rain in May and I l8st a newly planted rose. It got too much rain and heat. Everything else is surviving. Bee balm is 5 feet tall. It's never grown that tall

  10. Oh Laura the pond is looking magnificent 😍 I'm so glad you guys were able to find a solution that works for your carpet of algae 😅 it's absolutely looking magical 💜

  11. I love watching your videos. I’ve been a fan since the beginning when you would make succulent arrangements 😊
I’m so happy to hear your going to change the area by the chicken coop with the wood pallet walk way and wisteria.
Will the wisteria be hard to remove? Will you need to have someone come in and take it out? Maybe you could do the box woods by where the fence was removed at the same time?
A blue ever green would look so good there, by the chicken coop/hartly area ❤🌲

  12. I love the mangaves and am frankly surprised how much you do too. Too bad your winters are too cold for a little southwest succulent specimen garden somewhere around the property.
