Hi everyone, I grabbed this fiddle leaf fig from a free plant giveaway at my husband's work. The roots are coming out the bottom of the pot so I'm planning to repot it, but would appreciate any advice about chopping it back or any other tips for improving appearance and health. This is my first fiddle leaf fig so any tips would be great!

I would personally at least separate the left stem hanging over hard in picture 1 to its own (small pot) potential chop/prop if you want it fuller
Your plant brown leaves on a fiddle leaf fig is due to a fungle infection from the roots sitting in too much moisture. First of all, the plant should be shifted another pot or container. A few days ago I faced a similar problem and I followed the tips written on the [page.](https://myindoorplants.com/2023/09/25/what-causes-how-to-cure-fiddle-leaf-fig-brown-spots/)
