people! I took these photos of my pennywort plant this morning when this singular, scalloped leaf shimmered in iridescence amongst the bright green foliage. I interpreted what this moment was showing me. I gathered the importance of perspective: there is light that shines on all of us, yet the rainbow is only visible from the right, limited range of angles. This little leaf can’t “see” that the light its receiving doesn’t look the same on it compared its neighbours, but the onlookers who have the the right perspective can see that it is beautifully different.
