So I’ve recently purchased my dream plant!! It’s been over a month now, and the plant has shed almost all of its bottom level leaves.
But there’s new growth on the top, and the upper leaves look in better shape than the one’s that had been shed.
I keep it right next to the window which is east facing, meaning it gets ample sunlight through the day!
I water it once a week or so, since the weather in general is pretty hot these days, and I make sure to wait until the upper soil is dry by 2-3 inches.
What exactly is the state of my plant at this point? Was it just the initial new-home-shock? Or should I be doing something different?

FLFs get transplant shock and that includes moving to a new location or even moved around the same place.
Happens every winter when I move mine inside for the cold season.
Just give it a much light as possible. Don’t move it around. Let it adjust to the new surroundings.
Keep it away from heat/AC vents.
They can stay on the moister side as long as the roots aren’t soggy. Make sure the pot has great drainage.
Don’t repot for at least 1 year.
