Glasgow Council approves Collegelands Park plans

The new £95m Collegelands Park project has been given the green light by Glasgow City Council.

The multi-use residential development in Calton will feature a park, arts centre, student accommodation and rented apartments.

A joint venture between Drum Property Group and Dawn Developments Limited, the project is being delivered by Glasgow Enlightenment Group.

The 2.5 acre park will include meadows, orchards, seating areas and exercise areas.

The new arts centre is being built by Dream Machine Productions, set to include a cafe, community space and outdoor working space.

Graeme Bone from Glasgow Enlightenment says:

“Collegelands Park will play a key role in the further regeneration of Calton, building on all the hard work done over the past 20 years to transform the area.”

The Collegelands regeneration project began in 2004, featuring offices, homes, shops and a new Moxy hotel.
