I’ve had this money tree for about 2 years now. It’s been relatively quick growing & hasn’t had any issues. It’s lost some leaves here and there, but nothing that concerning – usually just looks like the bark is extending and losing leaves as a result.
However, now I’ve been noticing it happening more frequently and in places no where near the bark. There hasn’t been any changes in watering or its pot size in about a year. I recently pulled it out to check the roots and the root ball looks healthy (no signs of rot or anything). My searches online have been a bit confusing, as some say overwatering, some say under, some say sunlight, etc. So any help would be super appreciated!

are these older leaves and is it still putting out new growth? mine has been doing the same and i’m hoping it’s just senescence
Usually watering damage goes around the perimeter of the leaves. Damage in the center of the leaves is more concerning for pests.
I have no idea, but my money tree just had this same issue, though it’s a much larger plant. It was thriving for a few years but all the sudden its leaves started looking like this and over a few months more than half the leaves fell off. I had changed nothing about watering, I hadn’t repotted either. But it did stop eventually and now the new leaves it puts out are much larger than before. It’s like it went through adolescence or something 😂 good luck with yours
