Brown thumb guy here. I inherited a nice 6 foot plant, repotted it and then disaster. Almost all the bottom leaves turned brown and dropped off. The FLF is just a trunk from feet high and down. The top portion seems to be doing better. Is there anyway to regrow leaves on the bare trunk?

This spot doesn’t seem to have much light, the leaves definitely need that. Repotting can also shock them pretty hard, make sure the soil is able to drain completely. They do not like having consistently moist roots. You could try the notching method for more branches but I reckon in low light like this they won’t be motivated to grow.

Needs more light. Put it right next to a window. Also remove that bracing stake. It doesn’t need it and without it’ll strengthen up.

They will likely not regrow leaves where it has lost them.
