  2. You are a lifesaver, Gary! I also live in Maryland zone seven and was very upset to have discovered that my tomato plants got hit hard with that exact fungus after all of that rain, and I was just about to refer to your videos or your book for guidance. It was like you read my mind and posted this! Thank you so much for sharing so much knowledge. You basically taught me everything I know, and I have turned into quite the farmer!

  3. No H2O2? One of the cheapest and most effective options, with multiple uses beyond just your garden. I loved your videos on H2O2! Gary, you could recommend that people buy 12% H2O2 and dilute it down to 3% themselves, as this is much cheaper than just buying 3%. I got 12% H2O2 for £13. I use three to four TBSPs of 12% H2O2 per gallon of water on potatoes and tomatoes. Copper sprays on the other hand, despite being described here as "organic" (I'm not sure what that even means in this case) can only really be used for the specific purpose of anti-fungal plant treatment, and do not break down in the soil, ever. Baking soda is a good choice but I find it to be a hassle here in the UK where we have changeable weather.

  4. Does the same work on peppers? I had peppers and tomatoes with this last year (growing in greenstalk). Do I need to throw out the dirt?

  5. Thank you.
Baking soda is the best choice for me as 2 other options are bad for the soil.
I though you used aspirin ? Not anymore ?

  6. Gary, you have tomatoes in the ground already? My soil is still cold and I can't even germinate zucchini in containers.

  7. Question … can I switch between these methods mid season? Say start with baking soda and switch to sulpher or copper? I am actually trying whey this year on some plants. Since these change ph wondering if a switch between products will work, as some raise and some lower ph. Any thoughts?

  8. Never had diseases with my tomatoes. I do have leave curls with all of them just this year sowed all of them. It sets fruits but stunned. I think it could be from the heat it was over 100 degrees. Fertilizer it has plenty lol.

  9. I might have missed it but should I put my fungi oil on each day in a period of rain? My tomatoes have been hit hard here in New England by rainy, cool weather.

  10. Thank you so much for this video. This is my first year growing tomatoes, and I've lost so many plants that had i done more research, I probably could have saved. I'm in NW Florida, and between the heat, humidity, and days of rain at times, it's not always easy to garden.

  11. I can probably count on one hand the number of 70-degree days for May here in CT. Seems to be a trend of heavy rains followed by cold winds for a week following anything that remotely resembles a nice day. Tomatoes planted Memorial Day just started yellowing with spots but seems to be just on my beefsteak variety.

  12. Question:What is best budget friendly way to fix tomato plants that have turned purple? I looked online that it usually means a potassium deficiency and wondering what would be best method to correct that and green them up again.

  13. @Gary Hey, if the baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) works- do you know if the cream of tartar (potassium bitartrate) would work in case for something the baking soda might not etc??
