Had this plant for a week- why are the leaves going pale?

I bought this lad on Saturday (I’m aware of the red spots, those have been there the whole time). Today I’ve noticed that his newest leaf is starting to go pale. I haven’t watered it since taking it home, and have slowly introduced it to a warm bright room by a SW window, with no drafts, in a mixture of well draining soil with a drainage hole. Again, I’ve never watered it. Was planning to water it tomorrow. The soil is getting dry by now, but when I repotted it on sunday, the new soil was moist. What’s going wrong???
