Hi friends! My AV has always had a long squiggly stem, and I just wanted to check in if it’s harmful to its longterm health to be like this. If burying/propping it would only have cosmetic value though then I’d rather just let it be its lopsided self 🥀 But if making adjustments would make the plant healthier I will!

Hello! I had a similar situation with an AV I have had for over 20 years. I came to this sub and found that it needed a procedure called a decapitation. There are many videos on YouTube that can show you how to do it. I ended up doing it on each of the babies I had previously taken from the mothership and now have eight babies I’m propagating.

    Good luck!
